In today’s least surprising news the sequel to DC’s most recent billion dollar film has started it’s development.
Director James Wan will return but has not signed on yet until he finds a script worthy enough. Wan took a self imposed break after the production and promotional tour of the first one.
No release date has been announced.
Shazam director David Sandberg has also ruled out returning for a sequel as soon as the first is out saying “It’s just that it takes a crazy amount of work to do a movie like this. It’s like asking a runner at the end of a marathon if they feel like doing another one.”
