Captain Marvel, the latest Marvel character to grace us on the silver screen has seen advanced ticket sales continually increase since release, to a point where the opening weekend could come in at $160 Million.
Not a bad start at all.
Last year’s Black Panther helped us all believe that anything nowadays with the Marvel logo on it can turn into gold dust and with general public perception of Captain Marvel being on the lower side of superhero it was always going to be interesting to see where this would land.
BoxOffice.com is also expecting the film to settle in at $440 Million by the time it’s cinema run has ended domestically, which would out it behind the aforementioned Black Panther, and the three Avengers films, for fifth in the MCU box office takings.
Not a bad start for what is likely to be a record breaking year for Disney.
